AD Fanzine: Interview's with RP members: Ynaar #2

After quite some resonance on my first interview, I got a hole list of people already that i want/need to interview. I will create a blog for this series in the future. For now I will just post the newest entry here in the forums, and link all the old one's to a old WoW blog of mine.

Today i got a interview from Ynaar, my first Alliance interview.
Enjoy

Firewire
____________________________________________________

Firewire: Thank you Ynaar for taking your time and for giving me this interview. Could you maybe introduce yourself a little? Tell me about how long you are playing WoW, why you play on AD, how and when you started doing role play, what other RP games you play and all that good stuff.

Ynaar: I started playing in March 2005 on a spanish server called "Los Errantes" (Fastriders in english). There I was initiated in the RPing way of WoW, wich at that time could be compared to what Moonglade has become nowadays...
I was a part-time role player, as I rolled a warrior/tank and I really enjoyed the role of tanking. When BC came out, I deleted all my characters and moved to the Alliance side as a Draenei shaman. There I learned about their lore and fell in love with them immediately. Sadly due to personal circumstances i had to sell my account before WoTLK came out. A year ago I found a way to play again. Back than I informed myself about the RP servers and such...I created a goblin at Defias Brotherhood but it was deserted so I came to to Argent Dawn.
Other RPG games that I play? On the internet only World of Warcraft but I am a fanatic of Tabletop RPG's, both as a dungeon master and as a player. I greatly enjoy them.

Firewire: Which ones for example?

Ynaar: I played from D&D 3rd, 4th & 5th edition to Call of Cthulhu, passing through Vampire: The Masquerade, Shadowrun, Superheros, Nexus, Star Wars RPG, d20 and Modern d20 and so on.
Firewire: What do you think about the Alliance RP scene on AD? Or the RP scene on AD in general? What are your RP - commnutiy highlights? F.e.: Your favorite RP events, guilds or community members?

Ynaar: I find it lovely. With many guilds spread over different towns to bring it back to life, like the Kaldorei Community, various groups located at Hearthglen and Duskwood, and last but not least us the Sha'nai located at Elodor.
Sadly a bad name has been brought upon Stormwind because of its nature to hoard a lot of people, it is an exaggeratedly used place for role playing and I find that great! It brings life to something that must have life! But as the barrel gets bigger, more bad apples get in and I find that Stormwind is getting filled with... The kind of people that are so edgy that it cuts to touch them.
The RP scene on AD in general is lovely. It is constantly evolving to more original matters. My favorite events by far are the ones hosted by Acrona, but the ones that are for everyone to enjoy! She knows how to bring people together without interfering in the role play. The Shipwreck event was a lot of fun.

Firewire:
What are the main RP hubs on alliance side?

Ynaar: Main hubs on the alliance side are Stromwind and Darnassus i'd say. But if you do a in-depth research you will notice that there are guilds all over the World of Warcraft. There is Duskwood, Hearthglen, Teldrassil, Elodor and many other places where a guild is currently located. The guilds on Argent Dawn are very welcoming and they will gladly host you at their base-camp.

Firewire: Can you tell me a little bit about the lore and activities of your present guild/guilds?

Ynaar: I am a Draenei role player and three guilds come to my mind. The first is the Voice of Argus, making its return, seems to host a wide variety of calmed relaxed role playing, but is for now only for Draenei.
The second is the Sha'nai, we host weekly town times at Elodor, called Sha'nai RP days! They are an invention of mine and everyone is welcome to join us in our role play, enjoy our conflicts. And the third is the Chaosborn, a guild that I lead with the aid of my trustful officer Ruvian (Ulguruk) which made a great comeback after many people asked for me to bring back the guild. Yesterday we had a cross-guild event and the next week do two more of these! We expect to proceed like this, mixing it up with lessons on Fel and Shadow energy, and preaching about the power of the legion of which we are cultists of.
I highly recommend to check out the Stormwind Navy for more militaristic role play. Alongside Footman and the Westfall Rangers.

Firewire:
What game changes would you like to see from Blizzard to improve the role playing in WoW?

Ynaar: Cross-faction communication and extended toy times alongside no cool downs or straight make them end on logout or end on cancelled. I find that toys have great potential but they are not used enough.

Firewire:
Why is cross faction communication important to you?

Ynaar:
It is something that will allow role players from both factions that are neutral to communicate with one each other freely and enjoy more role playing together.

Firewire:
What is your favorite tavern?
Ynaar: The one at Elodor. It has amazing views of Shadowmoon Valley.

Firewire: What is your favorite arena in WoW?

Ynaar: The one at Karabor. It is amazing.

Firewire:
Who is your favorite NPC in WoW?

Ynaar: In all honesty? Adventurer Desii. I admire her patience to teach the child what a dog is and how she shows the child a few of the dog's tricks. She has been doing it for almost a year!

Firewire: Anything else you want to add?

Ynaar: That I find your initiative great and that I hope that it continues with other role-players!

Firewire: Thank you so much for your time and for this interview!!!

AD Fanzine: Interview's with RP members: Fuse #1

Hey I'm Firewire and I am planning to do some Interviews with RP community members on Argent Dawn. To start this series of I chose Fuse as my first interview partner.

If anyone of you want to give me a interview contact me here or ingame.
I would love to interview some Alliance players as well so feel free to send me a message.

So here is my first interview with Fuse:
______________________________
Firewire: Thank you for taking your time and for giving me an interview. I brought 4 topics with me today, i want to ask you about. Questions about your person, about the AD - RP Community, about role play game mechanics in WoW and about some of your Favorite things in WoW.

Could you maybe introduce yourself a little? Tell me about how long you are playing WoW, why you play on AD, how and when you started doing role play, what other RP games you play and all that good stuff.

Fuse: I've been playing for 6 or 7 years now since the release of wrath of the lich king. I didn't start playing on AD, i started on a server called Azjol-Nerub learning the ropes to and all. During cataclysm was the time I moved over here to AD. Even then I didn't Rp, I was more so into PVP then anything else. Still am so to say. I started role playing near towards the end of cata and beginning of Mop. role play was all new to me to be honest with you. I started with Gearfist properly and taught me most of what I know or well basics and the rest I learned myself. I learned that I have a love for creating concepts, community events and all sorts. Role play started and remains with WoW for me. I've not role played on any other game but wouldn't be against trying it.

Firewire: You told me that you are streaming WoW. Do you stream RP events?

Fuse: RP events no, but I may do so in the future. I'm planning to stream each Saturday/Sunday to come together with people of the community talk about/promote guilds, events and the overall game. It's an OOC sort of radio for Argent Dawn EU. Guest will be coming in now and then too, to add more flavor to it! It should be starting soon enough

Firewire: How do you think about the Horde RP scene on AD? Or the RP scene on AD in general? What are your RP - commnutiy highlights? F.e.: Your favorite RP events, guilds or community members?

Fuse: I love Horde RP even though it's more guild orientated granted. I still feel like I can get along with almost anyone and fit in anywhere if I wish, they always provide for a fun filled atmosphere. I can't say much for Alliance since it's not something I've dabbled much into but the overall role playing community... well it's great for everyone, you've got the freedom to create characters, guilds, stories for everyone to participate into. I think the best highlights fore me is seeing a community sometimes both alliance and horde or even just horde gather around for big events like my own with Fight Night. There's a variety of people representing the realm in one way or another, the ones I do know and am familiar of tend to create for the beast moments for role play. That's not to say others don't but these are people I know of.

Firewire: Could you tell me more about the Fight Night you mentioned?

Fuse: Fight Night was the first community event I made up about 2 years ago now I think. It puts two things the game has to offer together that and a few others enjoy rp-pvp. People sign up to duel one another competing for the prize. It keeps going until there's two left and the winner of that wins the gold. Others spectate, there's merchants and other things to keep people entertained when not watching.

Firewire: Are there still Fight Nights nowadays?

Fuse: I've made three so far. I'll be planning for more in the future. It's not stopping just yet.

Firewire: Can you tell me a little bit about the lore and activities of your present guild/guilds?

Fuse: This guild speaks for itself, it was created to bring a more light hearted guild towards Horde side. A traveling group of entertainers, merchants and all sorts. Providing for all sorts of fun in variate zones as they travel around. When things get slow there's a more hidden side to the guild that involves smuggling and those sorts to keep the member base entertained! We're currently planned/booked to do a few community events with other guilds along with our own planned one. Carnival, Kosh'harg, Brewfest and probably more.

Firewire: What game changes would you like to see from Blizzard to improve the role playing in WoW?

Fuse: Currently? Cross faction communication. I would love to have that added as it'll open up more endless possibilities for massive events in the future.

Firewire: Three short questions to round up the interview:
What is your favorite Tavern?

Fuse: Tavern in Ratchet or Booty Bay. I tend to prefer taverns in goblin villages/cities. Maybe the Speedbarge in Thousand Needles.

Firewire: What is your favorite arena in WoW?

Fuse: Nagrand arena or Dalaran sewers.

Firewire: Who is your favorite NPC in WoW?

Fuse: Gazlowe.

Firewire: Thank you so much for this awesome interview.

Nogzahr: Silly firegoblin can not draw well. Nogzahr grabs
his mouth. "No! Nogzahr didnt mean. Nogzahr didnt mean.

Firewire: Ok. So here is my first question. How did you
like it to be part of the OTB - Pet League today?

Nogzahr: Nogzahr not sure what firegoblin tries to do with book.
but Nogzahr awnser questions. Nogzahr thinks playing with little things was fun!

Nogzahr:
Nogzahr did not understand why little thing kept touching other
little thing. But that's okay! Little thing is good person!

Firewire: *scratches her head a little*

Firewire: So what was your strongest "little thing" today?

Nogzahr: Nogzahr.. Nogzahr not understand.

Firewire: Well the point of the happening today was, that some little
things fight against other little things.

Nogzahr: Nogzahr seems horrified.

Firewire: Some of them where stronger than the others. So thats why
someone won in the end.

Nogzahr: Nogzahr grabs Hogs and looks at him in the eyes. Hogs stares
back. Hogs say nothing. Nogzahr believe Hogs not Bad Good person.

Firewire: So Hogs did win you some fights today?

Nogzahr: Hogs jumps up and looks straight at Firewire, nodding in
a twitchy fashion before falling on his stommage and rolling over.
Nogzahr believe Hogs not smart. Hogs not talk.

Firewire: Alrighty. Lets jump to another question. Who is your
most favorite pet... little thing?

Nogzahr: Nogzahr only have Hogs. Hogs is favorite!

Firewire:
Who was your strongest opponent today?

Nogzahr: Nogzahr fought bear today! Bear was strong. Bear was bad
person. Bear attacked nogzahr, Nogzahr not do anything.

Firewire: I am still taking about the Pet Tournament. Big ppl used their
little things to fight each other. Remember? Who of the big ppl (or not so big ppl) had
the strongest little things?

Nogzahr:
Nogzahr.. Not understand? Nogzahr not had fight at .. Pet tournament.
Nogzahr did see strong thing. Nogzahr saw Little thing with skull things! Little thing
threw boooom! (as he makes an explotion noice) It was bad person. hm.. bad good person.

Firewire:
In your opinion, what did you do today on the Goblin Ship infront
of the Big Horde City of Orgrimmar?

Nogzahr: Nogzahr had friends! Nogzahr looked at Little things making friends.
Little things fall over sometimes. and when little thing fall over everyone shout Nogzahr win.
Nogzahr brain started hurting from shouting..

Firewire: Who did it feel to win? Do you like winning?

Nogzahr: Nogzahr not understand what nogzahr win. Friends happy shouting. make
Nogzahr happy. Person on other side of boat sad. Made Nogzahr sad. Nogzahr did thing wrong..

Firewire:
Will you get new little friends beside Hogs in the future?

Nogzahr: Nogzahr like fireGoblin!

Firewire: Thats nice of you. I like you too Nogzahr.

Firewire:
If your other friends come together again, with their little things,
will you join them again?

Nogzahr: Nogzahr looks confused for a bit, then his expression turns happy.
Nogzahr was asked to bring three Little things. Nogzahr brought Hogs, and found 2 standing next
to bad good person. Nogzahr sure Nogzahr can find again.

Firewire: So if you get asked to bring three little things again, you will answer
their call and come again?

Nogzahr:
Nogzahr will come to party!

Firewire:
Is there anything you want to add?

Nogzahr:
Nogzahr changed mind. Nogzahr Is curious about magazine, Nogzahr will be okay with
being in magazine. Nogzahr not want to be in magazine longer d'en a day though.

Firewire: *needs to think a moment about what Nogzahr just said*

Firewire:
Nogzahr wont be in the magazine in person. Its not like i will put you
somewhere, where you cant leave. All i will do is, draw somethings in a book,
so others can see what you have told me today.

Nogzahr: Nogzahr very intresting. Nogzahr impressed with Firegoblin for remembering!
Firegoblin smart for remembering Nogzahr words! Nogzahr not remember Nogzahr words.

Firewire: Not everything needs to be remembered by anyone. Thank you so much
for your time and for this interview.

OTB - Pet League Fanzine #2

Interview with Etinn, owner of 457 pets.

Firewire: Hello Etinn, thank you for taking your time and
for giving me a interview about todays OTB Pet Battle League Finals. You
almost took part in the Tourney today. You wanted to bring prices for the
winners. What things did you want to bring?

Étinn:
well I had one pet and some glyph and one Mysterious Fortune
Card. I did wrap it up in realy nice paper exept for the glyph becouse it was
too big for the package.

Firewire: Are you looking forward to Season Two of the OTB – PBL?
And are you planning on participating in it?

Étinn: Yes. I am so exited.

Firewire: What pet team will you bring to your first round?

Étinn: I will take Death Talon Whelpguard, Crusher and Fawn i THINK.

Firewire: Why do you choose these three pets? Do they have any specially
strengths or are they just cool looking?

Étinn: Because they have some spesial abilities to fight for me, one healer,
one that is good to fight against dragonkin, and one that is good against elemental.
Yeah that is my strategy.

Firewire: You told me before that you have over 400 pets.
How many do you have exactly atm?

Étinn: well 457 now on me.

Firewire: What is your favorite pet of all time and what pet are
you most wanted to get in the future?

Étinn: well no my fav is Nexus Whelpling and hmm to get...
I have not looked through all of them so I don´t know

Firewire: Is there anything you want to add?

Étinn: nahh

Firewire: Alrighty. Thank you so much for your time and for this interview!
Im really looking forward to see you in Season Two!!!

Firewire

Interview with the first OTB Pet League Champion Morghár.

Firewire: Hello Morghar thx for taking your time,
and for giving me a interview about your victory today
in the OTB - Pet Battle League.

Morghár: No problem.

Firewire: How does it feel to be the first
OTB Pet League Champion?

Morghár: *rubs his chin* Its...weird. Im not the kind of
person that usually participates in such things. So it felt
unexpected. But good. Also my opponent seemed too mighty for me.

Firewire:
Nice. So what brought you to pariticpate in this League than?

Morghár: *cleares his throat and looks around the table* I guess the reason
was, that I wanted to get know the people in our Organisation. At least at first.
After the first battle I also got more interested in pets and started to look out
for some interesting choices.

Firewire: Tell us a little bit about your todays lineup. Who was your
strongest pet today? And why did you choose these 3 pets?

Morghár: Okay so, my strongest pet...II think it was Graves, the Golem.
Not only are Undead pets already good because of their ability to stay alive,
but graves also hit hard. And i chose my pets because I wanted to test Graves
and the other two were listed closest to him. So I picked them more or less randomly.

Firewire:
next question: Who was your strongest opponent today? Against which
pet did you struggle the most?

Morghár:
*puts on a thoughtful face* My toughest opponent...either Nogzahr
or El(i forgott her name D: sry) and the thoughest pet must have been Jumbo, the elephant.

Firewire: Why was Jumbo so strong today?

Morghár: So since shes the owner of the thoughest pet, I´ll say she was my toughest
opponent. To be honest I dont know exactly, I think it was because the set-up when
Jumbo entered was in his favour and an injured beast hits very hard. He got me pretty good when he was injured.

Firewire: Is he hitting harder the less hp he has?

Morghár: No only once he drops below half his health. Then he receives
a 25% buff for all following attacks.

Firewire: Will you try to defend your title in Season Two?

Morghár: Absolutely...but more in a casual way. Im not planning to do lots of pet
research for the best team-combos *chuckles*...at least thats what i thin´k for now

Firewire: Whats your most favorite pet of All pets there are?

Morghár: I think that would be Eggbert, but I think he was only available
during an event. So I probably will never get him.

Firewire: Anything else you want to add?

Morghár: Yea,to everyone who reads this interview: "Come to season 2!"

Firewire: Thank you so much for your time and this interview.

Morghár: Thank YOU!

Kitchen Workshop

So me and Sjoll tinkered around with ideas
how we could represent a kitchen with real WoW items
ingame. Here are some of our results, enjoy.
