Founding of Operation Thunder Bluff

So its RP time in 2015. After a month of preparation, we finally had our first real guild event. Check out our forum if you want to know more about our guild Operation Thunder Bluff.

So the plot is, that a goblin called Firewire flet from war and society to build up a new home in Thunder Bluff. Goal is to create a home for other homeless, war refugees, Outcasts and people alike.
To achive this goal, Firewire wants to build new houses in Thunder Bluff. Therefore she needs people that support here and money to buy all the things she needs for building.

Today she found people that will support her cause.
2 orcs, a forsaken and a blood elf joined her and will from now
on be part of Operation Thunder Bluff.

The first plan of the little group is to build a kitchen in Thunder Bluff.
The kitchen will be a meeting point for all kind of people. It will help socialize
with others, and be the central point for welcoming people that seek shelter
in Operation Thunder Bluff. Also it will make the group money.

Auction House Spotlight #1

AH at Booty Bay

So i allready talked about beeing a merchant in WoW.
What do i mean by that? Well after the introduction of WoW Tokens in WoW,
making Gold got really interessting.

So i created a goblin (ofc), and tryed out different ways making gold.

I started with farming felblight (Did that with Reegna back than).
I farmed different spots with different technics in Tanaan Jungle.
(Mining, Fishing, and Skinning - With the last two beeing the most lucrative once).

I also managed to get a Medallion that i sold for 9k.
I farmed Giant Dino Bones in Pandaria and so on.

While farming i spent a decent time at the Auction House in Ogrimmar in
Vale of Spirits. There i met Toquar (who is currently nr. 8 top seller at our server).
He sat there every day with his lvl 2 Troll shaman. I asked him if he is a trader, and told
him that i sell Felblight and farm a lot.

He just said, that he stopped farming ages ago, when he recognized how much money
can make, selling transmog.

One thing lead to another, and a month later i made 350.000 gold with a profit 179.000 gold
and the rest of it reinvested in transmog assetts. I did that with flipping transmog gear on the auction house.

The principle is simple:

1. Buy low, sell high.
2. Read TUJ and TSM price news.
3. Get the TSM Addon (with the Desktop APP).
4. Learn TSM.

5. Make loads of money.

So here is the thing.
Making money in WoW is not only nice, but also it is really fun.
It is its own kind of gameplay. Its about gathering and analyzing information,
knowing your competion and beeing at the right time at the right place.

To start my first auction house spotlight i choose, the best auction house for traders in Azeroth.
The AH in Booty Bay. Not only is this place super peaceful, and real cool place to hang out, it also has all a trader needs, with out having to move one inch.

A trader needs:
1. An auctioneer (ofc). To do the shopping and selling.
2. A mailbox. That is very important, as all goods bought at the AH will come to you via the mailbox.
3. A bank. The bank is good for storing things in, that you want to sell at a later time.

The AH at Booty Bay is the only place i know of, that has all of this three things very very close togehter.

So naturaly i choose this to be my hometown, and the place i hang around most of my first 60 lvls.
There i met Essenz. He Nr. 1 seller of our server since i started the trading thing. I even made a ally gnome rouge, just to tell him that i admire his work. (He wasn't very talkative though).

If you ever want to get into the trading business, Booty Bay is your place to be.

The beauty of WoW #1

A series in pictures
Enjoy.

Arena Spotlight #3

How could you forget the awesome
Amphitheater of Anguish in Zul'Drak.

This one has a special place in my heart,
as I had one of my first real WoW moments there.
Back than when i discovered this Arena, I was levling
Valrian, my first lvl 90 toon. It was totaly normal for me, that if you do Dungeons
you are with other people (that do not talk much)
and if you do Quests you are alone.

Not so in the Amphitheater of Anguish.
There is a quest you can get in the Sewers of Dalaran.
Once you have it you can fight a bunch of Elite Mobs
in the Amphitheater. The fights are suggested for 5 players.
I tryed to beat them solo.

I managed to beat the first Boss. But i could down the second one.
Suddenly a stranger appeared and helped me fight all those Bosses to come.
It was than I realised, wow thats a MMO for real.
(Found the Blog entry i wrote about that moment here).

Amphitheater of Anguish awesome place!

Arena Spotlight #2

Arena Spotlight #2

Our first use Arena for our OTB Pet Battle League.
The Gurubashi Arena.
This place is special cause it looks cool as hell
and is a all time PVP zone. Even on non PVP relams.
Not the best place to hold a Pet Battle Event
as we found out.

A dwarf came by and owned us all.
This place will allways be in my memorie
as Arena that brought me to the idea
that Arenas are one of the best places to
be in WoW.

Arena Spotlight #1

One of my favorite Arena of all time are is the Dalaran Sewers.
They scream FIGHT CLUB for me and therefore are my Arena Spotlight #1.

A merchant? Maybe i will blog a bit more about that role.

I will change things up compared to the past two years.
Instead of making weekly round ups,
i will write about certain topics id like to share.

My first series I  going to publish will a 3 part Spotlight about Arena's
